Tensile Strength

CYGUT suture is an absorbable, twisted multifilament suture made from purified collagen derived from bovine intestines. It provides reliable initial tensile strength, which is gradually lost as the suture undergoes enzymatic absorption within the body, typically retaining strength for 10–14 days.

Indications

CYGUT suture is indicated for general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, including use in gastrointestinal, gynecological, urological, and oral surgery procedures where absorbable sutures are preferred.

Storage

Recommended storage conditions below 25⁰C, away from moisture and direct heat. Do not use after the expiry date. Shelf life: 3 years from the date of manufacturing.

Action

CYGUT suture elicits a mild tissue inflammatory response, which is followed by gradual absorption through enzymatic action. Chromic treatment delays absorption, providing extended wound support during the critical healing phase.
